Reservoir Characterization using AI

An advanced reservoir characterization software developed by AI DPRS in collaboration with the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).

Project Overview

ResCharAI was designed to modernize reservoir analysis by combining geological expertise with data-driven intelligence. The system leverages core data, well logs, and image facies data to provide a comprehensive understanding of reservoir properties and fluid flow behavior.

Using unsupervised Machine Learning techniques, specifically K-means clustering, the software automatically identifies High Flow Zones (also known as Hydraulic Flow Units) within the reservoir. This enables more accurate rock typing, improved flow unit classification, and enhanced prediction of reservoir performance.
